Dishwasher Install Hardwood Floor

The cardboard is not needed if a tile or hardwood floor are planned but.

Dishwasher install hardwood floor. But dishwasher installer said last week that the new floor added a hair less than 3 4 to floor height and they could not get the old dishwasher out. After something went wrong they had to choose between a cutting the counter top. It is not a huge deal but if i ever need to install a new dishwasher i would like to know what to do. Or b cutting out their flooring.

My dishwasher wasn t cleaning so i bought new one when they came to install they said the floor had been installed up to it and they couldn t remove it. Ago no problem beautiful job. When they delivered my new dishwasher last week they said they could not install it because of the counter height. Most chose the flooring cheaper to replace than a 12 000 counter top.

Installing hardwood floors how do i remove dishwasher in future. The few square feet they saved meant that their dishwasher could never be removed for maintenance. How do i remove dishwasher when hardwood flooring has been installed. Once the hardwoods are installed in my kitchen i will not be able to get the dishwasher out without removing some wood.

Believe it or not this is a common diy. Position the dishwasher on a piece of cardboard in front of the recess at the cabinets with its back facing the recess. Unfortunately that means either damage to the floor or moving forward with that new counter replacement.
